With the increase in viruses and bacteria which are resistant to treatment, the cleanliness and disinfection of health establishments is prevalent. The standard daily cleaning process uses cloths with either neutral detergent or oxidising agents. In as little as two hours after cleaning or disinfection, people and air in the environment can begin to re-contaminate the surfaces. To reduce this occurrence, higher risk areas such as rooms for patients in isolation and surgery have filtered air ventilation systems in place.
